Question
If a husband’s wealth is unlawful, what should the wife do?

If the wife knows that the earnings which her husband brings home are unlawful, it is not permissible for her to take from them. She should advise him and seek from him that he earn his livelihood from a lawful source. If he persists, then she should raise the matter to the relevant authorities, such as the Islamic courts.
