He explains that habitually abandoning prayer is considered disbelief according to the majority of scholars, and urges Muslims to maintain their prayers with sincerity and regularity.
Current Affairs
A young woman asks whether it is permissible for her to work after graduation. Shaykh Muḥammad ibn Ṣāliḥ al-ʿUthaymīn explains that women may leave home for work when necessary, especially to benefit others, provided they observe proper Islamic dress, avoid perfume and adornment, and do not freely mix with men.
Advice and Admonition
These poetic lines by Ibn Rajab reflect on the passing of time and the importance of Ramadan and Laylat al-Qadr. The poem reminds believers of the profound rewards of the night, the descent of angels, and the mercy and forgiveness granted to those who seek it.
Prayer
A man consistently delays Fajr prayer until after sunrise while performing other prayers on time. Shaykh Muḥammad ibn Ṣāliḥ al-ʿUthaymīn explains that praying Fajr after its time without a legitimate excuse invalidates the prayer, and habitual sleep is not an excuse. He urges the man to pray Fajr in congregation.

Shaykh Muḥammad ibn Ṣāliḥ al-ʿUthaymīn explains that outwardly righteous deeds may conceal inner corruption, and a person may appear virtuous while being destined for Hellfire. True success lies in sincere intention and inner purity, not merely outward appearance.

A question is asked about the proper method of giving mandatory spending to a wife, such as whether it should be paid weekly. Shaykh Ṣāliḥ ibn Fawzān al-Fawzān explains that it depends on the agreement between the husband and wife, provided she is satisfied with the arrangement.
Fasting
The fasting person who remembers Allah ﷻ the most earns the greatest reward. The Prophet ﷺ said that the highest reward for fasting goes to those who constantly engage in dhikr. Ibn al-Qayyim explains this applies to all acts of worship: more remembrance means more reward.
Fasting
Ramadan benefits only those who continue worship and avoid sin after the month ends. If a person goes back to bad habits once Ramadan is over, the fasts did not truly benefit them. Obedience to Allah is required all year, not just for one month.
Prayer
Straightening the rows before prayer is obligatory. The Prophet ﷺ would not commence the prayer until he observed the rows and ensured that shoulders and ankles were aligned. Once the rows were correctly straightened, he would begin the prayer, emphasising its importance in congregational worship.
Current Affairs
If the Friday sermon contains slander against the scholars of the Sunnah or the rulers, you may distract yourself from listening and complete the prayer, then avoid returning. If you can reach another masjid of the people of Sunnah in time, you should attend there instead.
