The Use of the Term “Abrahamic Faiths”

"Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian" [3:67]

Question

Is it permissible to use the term “Abrahamic faiths” to refer Judaism and Christianity?

Shaykh Sāliḥ al-Fawzān:

“Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian” [3:67] He lived before [the advent of] these religions – may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. “Rather he was one who turned away from all false religions and was upright upon the truth, a Muslim. And he was not of the polytheists.” [3:67].
