Questioner:

We know that Allah ﷻ has prepared hūr al-ʿayn for His believing servants on the Day of Judgment in Paradise. However, if there is a believing woman that Allah ﷻ enters into Paradise – due to His Mercy – yet her husband was an evil person in this life and therefore did not enter Paradise, who will be her husband? Please benefit us, may Allah ﷻ reward you.

Shaykh Muḥammad ibn Sāliḥ al-ʿUthaymīn:

The answer to this question is derived from Allah’s ﷻ statement;

“Therein you shall have (all) that your inner-selves desire, and therein you shall have (all) for which you ask for. An entertainment from (Allah), the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Q 41: 31-32)

And His Statement;

Therein all that the one’s inner-selves could desire, all that the eyes could delight in, and you will abide therein forever.” (Q 43:71).

If a woman is from the people of Paradise and was not married – or her husband is not from the people of Paradise – thus if she enters Paradise, there are men from the people of Paradise that did marry [in this life], and by this I mean, those who did not marry from the men, but have (women) from the hūr al-ʿayn  and wives from the (women) of this world, if they desire this.

Therefore, we say with regards to the woman: If she does not have a husband, or if she had a husband in this life, however, he is not from the people of Paradise, then if she desires to marry, she must have that which desires, due to the general (meaning) of these verses. Although, I do not remember anything specific regarding this issue right now, and the knowledge is with Allah ﷻ.
