Questioner:

Is it permissible to seek knowledge from a person who does not see al-Arūr, Abul-Ḥasan and al-Maghrāwī as innovators, and he claims that Iḥyā al-Turāth are Salafī. He also has not sought knowledge nor does he have any recommendations from the scholars, rather he has only taken knowledge from books and tapes of Ibn Bāz, al-Albānī and al-ʿUthaymīn?

Shaykh Aḥmad al-Najmi

In reality, he who does not hold those people to be innovators then he is included amongst them. This is because those people are people of innovation. As for al-Maghrāwī, then it has been established that he is a Takfīrī.
