The Questioner:

As-Salāmu ʿalaykum.

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

Wa ʿalaykum as-salām.

The Questioner:

May Allah ﷻ bless you with life O’ Shaykh of ours.

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

May Allah ﷻ protect you.

The Questioner:

For days now we have tried to reach you but now, all praise is due to Allah ﷻ, He has made it easy and I hear your voice.

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

May Allah reward you.

The Questioner:

I am Abū Hārūn and I am speaking to you from Yemen, O’ Shaykh.

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

Okay.

The Questioner:

How is everything with you? How is your health?

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

All praise is due to Allāh, I can tell you everything is good.

The Questioner:

All praise is due to Allah. How are the things related to your lessons?

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

All praise is due to Alla.

The Questioner:

By Allah, we want to study with you O’ Shaykh.

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

By Allah, brother, this is something that is not in our hands.

The Questioner:

And we ask Allah ﷻ to make it easy, by Allah ﷻ. How are things?

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

We praise Allah.

The Questioner:

We have with us, O’ Shaykh, among us a man; we would like to ask you about some of the things he says because we’d like to know your opinion of him if Allah wills.

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

Okay.

The Questioner:

This man advocates the principle that every innovator is calling to his innovation.

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

Huh?

The Questioner:

Every religious innovator is calling to his innovation.

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

Every religious innovator…?

The Questioner:

…is a caller to his innovation.

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

 …a caller to his innovation?

The Questioner:

Yes.

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

No, these two are not the same. It is well-known the difference between calling to one’s innovation and not calling to one’s innovation. This means that the innovator who is a blind-follower might not be calling to his innovation. However, the innovator who persists upon it and tries to spread it and fights for it; this is the caller to his innovation. Yes.

The Questioner:

He said that Shaykh Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb al-Tamīmī was not well-versed in the knowledge of ḥadīth.

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

What does he mean by isn’t well-versed in the knowledge of ḥadīth?

The Questioner:

He says that his knowledge in the science of ḥadīth is limited.

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

Limited… He was not truthful. He did not speak the truth. How does he write these books and his knowledge of ḥadīth is limited? Yes.

The Questioner:

Okay, and he says about Shaykh Ṣāliḥ Āl al-Shaykh that his direction is ikhwānī  and that he gives the ḥizbīs precedence over the salafīs; and he shortens his beard.

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

Lies, lies, lies, lies! His direction is ikhwānīs?!

The Questioner:

And he gives the ḥizbīs precedence over the salafīs.

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

No!

The Questioner:

And that he takes from his beard and shortens his beard.

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

The issue of taking from the beard is something else. But his statement that his direction is ikhwānī, that is not at all true. And the issue of giving the ḥizbīs precedence over the salafīs; if he knows that this one is a salafī and this one is a ḥizbī, he will not give this one precedence over that one; however no one knows what the people are hiding except for Allah ﷻ.

The Questioner:

And when we asked him to provide proof, he did not provide proof…by Allah!

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

Huh?

The Questioner:

He also said about Shaykh Wasīullāh that he is certainly a Turāthī.

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

A Turāthī?

The Questioner:

Yes.

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

Glorified is Allah. Glorified is Allah the Magnificent. This is a type of boldness and audacity that is baffling. It is not possible for a student of knowledge to be like this. It is upon him to fear Allah; and leave these…

The Questioner:

[Interrupting] May I complete what I have for you? Some of the scholars here advised him regarding his speech when he said I am alone here by myself. He said this speech should be urinated on.

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

Huh?

The Questioner:

Some of the scholars advised him here, meaning his Mashāyikh, regarding some of his speech which they criticised him for when he said I am alone here by myself in giving daʿwah and he said regarding this speech that it should be urinated on.

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

Glorified is Allah. This one is belligerent. Allah is sufficient for us and the best Disposer of affairs.

The Questioner:

Also, he says I am the first…

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

[Interrupting] I seek refuge in Allah ﷻ from his condition. Based upon this…Enough; what has been said is sufficient. That is enough. (Some speech unclear).

The Questioner:

Is it permissible to study with him O’ Shaykh?

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

Huh?

The Questioner:

Is it lawful to study with this individual?

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

No.

The Questioner:

Never?

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

By Allah, this is what I hold. Then where did he study?

The Questioner:

Should I inform you of who the speaker is O’ Shaykh?

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

Huh?

The Questioner:

Should I tell you who it is?

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

Tell me.

The Questioner:

This is Yaḥya al-Hajūrī O’ Shaykh.

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

Oh Man! Yaḥya al-Hajūrī?

The Questioner:

Yes; and all of this is recorded and we heard it in the lesson and it is available on tape.

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá an-Najmī:

Allah ﷻ is sufficient for us and The Best Disposer of affairs.
