Are Islamic Organisations Permissible?

Shaykh al-Albani explains that forming Islamic organisations or unions is not permissible in Islam because it leads to hizbiyyah (partisanship). He emphasizes that Islam does not support forming separate groups or parties based on religious labels.

Questioner:

Is it permissible to establish Islamic organisations (in the religion), like the Islamic Union in Algeria. Is it permissible or not?

Shaykh Muḥammad Nāṣir al-Dīn al-Albānī:

This is not permissible my brother. We have spoken about this before in detail. There is no hizbīyyah (partisanship) in Islam.
