Forgive My Sin For They Do Not Know – Dr. ʿAbdulilāh Laḥmāmī

This powerful and heartfelt reminder by Dr. ʿAbdulilāh Laḥmāmī calls believers to return to Allah through sincere repentance, humility, and constant remembrance. It highlights the importance of seeking forgiveness, not only after committing sins, but as a lifelong act of worship and self-purification.

Dr. ʿAbdulilāh explains that a true believer is someone who remains connected to Allah in every situation, whether in moments of ease, success, and happiness, or in times of hardship, loss, and trial. Gratitude in prosperity and patience in difficulty are both signs of strong īmān and deep reliance upon Allah .

The lecture reminds us that human beings are naturally prone to mistakes, weaknesses, and shortcomings. However, what distinguishes the believer is their willingness to acknowledge their faults and turn back to Allah with sincerity. Through tawbah, istighfār, and regular dhikr, hearts are cleansed and souls are strengthened.

Dr. ʿAbdulilāh also reflects upon the noble character of the Prophets, who responded to harm and injustice with forgiveness and supplication. Their example teaches us to rise above anger and resentment, and to pray for guidance and mercy for others, even when we are wronged.

This reminder encourages us to adopt a lifestyle rooted in mindfulness of Allah , soft-heartedness, and self-accountability. By constantly seeking forgiveness and remembering our Creator, we prepare ourselves for success in this world and salvation in the Hereafter.

May Allah grant us sincere repentance, steadfast hearts, and the ability to remember Him in all circumstances. Āmīn.
