Shaykh Sāliḥ al-Fawzān:

“Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian” [3:67] He lived before [the advent of] these religions – may the peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him. “Rather he was one who turned away from all false religions and was upright upon the truth, a Muslim. And he was not of the polytheists.” [3:67].
