Sunan Ibn Mājah is a lexicon of Prophetic narrations gathered by Ibn Mājah, Abū ʿAbdillāh Muḥammad ibn Yazīd al-Qazwīnī, Qazvin being a city in present-day Iran. It is said that “Mājah” is a Persian nickname of his father. His Sunan is widely considered to be the last of the primary six sources of the Prophet’s Sunnah (ﷺ). It consists of a total of 4341 narrations in 32 books under 1,500 chapters.
