Abū Khadījah 'Abd al-Wāḥid was among the earliest British Muslims to adopt Salafiyyah in the late 1980s, embracing its principles while studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Bradford. By the mid-1990s, he and his colleagues were active in daʿwah through lectures and cassette recordings alongside figures such as Abū ʿIyāḍ, reaching students and youth across the UK. He has also been recommended by scholars such as Shaykh ʿUbayd al-Jābirī and Shaykh Rabīʿ al-Madkhalī.
