Shaykh Alī ibn Zayd al-Madkhalī studied and benefited under the care of his father, the great scholar Shaykh Zayd al-Madkhalī. He also benefited from the scholars of Jīzān, such as Shaykh Aḥmad an-Najmī and Shaykh Muḥammad Akkūr.
