An Important Update From Daar us Sunnah
All praise is due to Allah , the Lord of all that exists, and may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon His Messenger , his family, his companions and all those who follow them in righteousness until the Day of Judgement.
Dear brothers and sisters, we wish to share an important update regarding the DUS Masjid Appeal and the road ahead for our community.
The Appeal So Far
By the grace and favour of Allah , our total balance for a new masjid now stands at £855,227. A tremendous amount was raised in just one month, and this is from the blessings of Allah alone. We ask Allah to accept it from every single donor and multiply their reward.
However, this was not sufficient to secure the building we had been pursuing. We place our trust in Allah , for He is the Best of Planners, and what He decrees is better than what we plan for ourselves. We are continuing to work towards raising £2 million to secure a permanent new home for the masjid, and we ask Allah to make this easy for us.
Our Locations
Daar us Sunnah, Acton (Warple Way): By the permission of Allah , we have reached an agreement with the landlord to remain at our Warple Way location as a temporary home until further notice. This will serve as our main hub for daily prayers, lessons, community activities and more, bi-idhn Allah.
Daar us Sunnah, Shepherd’s Bush: This location is set to be vacated by mid-April. Until that time, the daily prayers and Jumuʿah will continue there as normal. However, please note that all lessons and community activities will now be held at Acton.
Financial Transparency
As many of you know, we are in a very urgent and sensitive period. Alongside the goal of purchasing a permanent home, we also have immediate running costs that cannot be ignored. We need to maintain the current premises, cover the costs of Warple Way, including rent and necessary salaries, and keep everything running properly so Daar us Sunnah can continue to serve the community without interruption.
In the interest of full clarity and transparency, we want the community to know that all donations collected will continue to go directly towards the purchase of the new masjid.
We will also be launching a separate dedicated campaign for the upkeep of Warple Way and our current locations. More details will be shared with the community very soon, in shāʾ Allah.
This is so that Daar us Sunnah can continue serving the community now, while we keep building towards a permanent solution for the future, bi-idhn Allah.
A Call to the Community
We sincerely ask for your continued support, your duʿāʾ and your generosity in this critical time. Every pound given for the sake of Allah is never lost, and every act of charity is a seed planted for the Hereafter. May Allah reward you all abundantly and make your contributions heavy on your scale of good deeds.
