About Us
All praise is due to Allah ﷻ, Who guided us to Islam and honoured us with the opportunity to serve His religion. The mosque is the heart of the Ummah, and for over a decade, Masjid Daar us Sunnah has stood as a beacon of faith in London. Today, as our community continues to grow, we seek a permanent home that reflects our unwavering commitment to the Qurʾān and the authentic Sunnah, so that we may, by Allah’s permission, build a lasting legacy for future generations.
Our Journey So Far
Masjid Daar us Sunnah was established in 2010 as a small gathering of sincere believers. Allah ﷻ then honoured this effort until it developed into a recognised centre for worship, education, and daʿwah. Through regular prayers, structured lessons, and diverse community programmes, thousands have benefited both locally and internationally.
This journey has been founded upon sincerity, sacrifice, and the continued support of people of goodness, all seeking the pleasure of Allah ﷻ.
Who We Are
Masjid Daar us Sunnah is a community-based Islamic centre established upon the Qurʾān and the authentic Sunnah, as understood by al-Salaf al-Ṣāliḥ (the righteous predecessors). Our masjid serves as a place of worship, learning, and spiritual development, dedicated to nurturing sincere faith, sound knowledge, and upright character within the Muslim community, for the sake of Allah ﷻ.
From its inception, Masjid Daar us Sunnah has sought to be more than a place of prayer. It is a spiritual home for believers who wish to strengthen their relationship with Allah ﷻ, deepen their understanding of Islam, and support one another in righteousness. We aim to provide a balanced environment in which worship, education, and community service work together to develop strong, confident, and principled Muslims.
Worship, Learning, and Community Life
Our masjid facilitates the five daily prayers, Jumuʿah, Islamic classes, study circles, and regular reminders. Through these programmes, we strive to make authentic Islamic knowledge accessible, relevant, and practical for everyday life. Our focus remains on nurturing individuals who practise Islam with sincerity, wisdom, and consistency, and who embody its teachings in both private and public life.
Education and Scholarship
Education forms a central pillar of our work. We firmly believe that correct knowledge leads to correct action. For this reason, we emphasise learning that is grounded in reliable primary sources and guided by qualified scholarship.
Through this methodology, we seek to equip our community to navigate contemporary challenges while remaining firmly anchored to authentic Islamic principles and sound uṣūl.
DUSDawah: Our Daʿwah Initiative
Alongside the masjid – Daar us Sunnah operates DUSDawah, our outreach and daʿwah initiative, dedicated to conveying the message of Islam with clarity, wisdom, and exemplary character. Its mission is to invite people to the worship of Allah ﷻ alone, to highlight the beauty of Islam, and to address misconceptions in a respectful and knowledgeable manner.
Through public outreach, educational programmes, digital content, and community engagement, DUSDawah seeks to reach both Muslims and non-Muslims. Our approach to daʿwah is rooted in sincerity, patience, and compassion, while recognising that true guidance comes only from Allah ﷻ.
