Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá al-Najmī:

I was in Riyadh in the year 1384 ^AH. Thereafter we were invited for coffee with him, so I went. I remember a statement of his, he said, ‘He who doesn’t spend at least 16 hours during the day and night in seeking knowledge is not a student of knowledge.

Yes, by Allah ﷻ! I heard this with my own ears whilst sitting with him. He said, ‘He who doesn’t spend at least 16 hours during the day and night in seeking knowledge is not a student of knowledge.
