His Organs Have Been Removed, Should the Family Bury Him? Burial of the One Whose Limbs Have Been Taken – Shaykh Muhammad Bazmul

Explore the concept of Tawheed, the core of Islamic faith, defining the absolute oneness and uniqueness of Allah.

Questioner:

May Allah ﷻ be good to you, one of the brothers had passed away and the hospital had taken parts of his body, is it that he should be buried without these limbs that the hospital had taken or should he be buried after these limbs are returned to the body?

Shaykh Muḥammad Bāzmūl:

That which is apparent to me and Allahﷻ knows best, is that he should be buried due to it being from the Sunnah that the burial of the deceased is hastened, if it happens to be that these body parts are later returned, then they are likewise to be buried. An example of this is when the son of Adam has parts of his limbs cut off, he is also buried along with his limbs. It is not correct that the burial of the deceased is delayed.
