When work prevents you from reaching a masjid or hearing the call to prayer, you are excused from attending the congregation. You may pray with family at home or with colleagues at work. If this is not possible, praying alone is permitted.
What is the verdict on being absent from the communal prayers due to our work circumstances, considering the fact that we cannot hear the call to prayer and there is no masjid where we work?
It would seem, and Allāh ﷻ knows best, that being unable to hear the call to prayer, as well as the lack of a masjid in the area exempts you from having to attend the congregation, and your obligation in that case would be to pray together in your homes, gather in someone’s house and pray or pray with your wife, children or family, as this would certainly suffice, in shā Allāh.
The same applies when at work, if you are unable to leave to the masjid because you do not know of any nearby, you may form a congregation with your work colleagues and pray. If that is impossible for you, you have a valid excuse that makes it permissible for you to pray by yourself. And from Allāh ﷻ alone is help sought.
