Shaykh Muqbil al-Wadi’i states that having a tooth removed does not break the fast even if some blood is swallowed. However, he advises delaying the procedure until after iftar when possible, to avoid harm and ensure safety.
What is the ruling on removing a tooth [while fasting], as some blood may be swallowed?
If he is swallowing his own blood, then this does not invalidate the fast – In shā Allah. However, if he delays this until Iftār, as it is feared that he will be harmed, delaying this until night is better. He should delay it until the night.
