Using Ibn Sina’s Arguments to Prove Allah ﷻ?
A questioner asks if it is permissible to use Ibn Sina’s arguments to prove Allah’s ﷻ existence. Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan advises that the proof should come from the Qur’an and Sunnah, and to stick to Ahl as-Sunnah wa al-Jama’ah, avoiding Ibn Sina’s teachings.
Questioner:
Is it permissible to prove Allāh’s existence using the arguments of Ibn Sīna?
Shaykh Ṣāliḥ Ibn Fawzān al-Fawzān:
You’ve not come across anyone except ibn Sīna?! Sufficient for you is the Book and the Sunnah and upon you is to stick to Ahl as-Sunnah wa al-Jamāʿah. Leave the heretic ibn Sīna.
