A cashier working in a store where selling cigarettes is mandatory asks whether their income becomes unlawful and if they are sinful. Shaykh Ṣāliḥ ibn Fawzān al-Fawzān states that selling cigarettes is sinful and that one should only sell what is lawful.
I work as a cashier at a grocery store which obliges me to sell cigarettes. Does this make my money unlawful and am I sinful?
Yes you are sinful. You are sinful If you sold cigarettes. Do not sell anything except that which is lawful.
