Shaykh Muqbil explains that using perfumes, incense, oud, and sprays is generally permissible while fasting. However, one should avoid perfumes and colognes that contain alcohol, both during Ramadan and outside of it, as alcohol is proven to be present in many of these fragrances.
What is the ruling on using perfumes in all of its types such as, incense, Oud and spray fragrances?
In regards to perfumes and incenses, there is no problem in them InshāAllah. However, one should abstain from using perfumes that contain alcohol, in the month of Ramaḍān and outside of Ramaḍān, specifically the colognes. For certainly it has been proven that these perfumes contain alcohol.
