An Important Update from Daar us Sunnah

All praise is due to Allāh, the Lord of all that exists, and may the peace and blessings of Allāh be upon His Messenger, his family, his companions, and all those who follow them in righteousness until the Day of Judgement.

Dear brothers and sisters, we wish to share an important update regarding the DUS Masjid Appeal and the road ahead for our community.

The Appeal So Far

By the grace and favour of Allāh, our total balance for a new masjid now stands at £855,227. A tremendous amount was raised in just one month – and this is from the blessings of Allāh alone. We ask Allāh to accept it from every single donor and multiply their reward.

However, this was not sufficient to secure the building we had been pursuing. We place our trust in Allāh, for He is the Best of Planners, and what He decrees is better than what we plan for ourselves. We are continuing to work towards raising £2 million to secure a permanent new home for the masjid, and we ask Allāh to make this easy for us.

Our Locations

Daar us Sunnah, Acton (Warple Way) – By Allāh’s permission, we have reached an agreement with the landlord to remain at our Warple Way location as a temporary home until further notice. This will serve as our main hub for daily prayers, lessons, community activities, and more, bi’idhnillāh.

Daar us Sunnah, Shepherd’s Bush – This location is set to be vacated by mid-April. Until that time, the daily prayers and Jumu’ah will continue there as normal. However, please note that all lessons and community activities will now be held at Acton.

Financial Transparency

As many of you know, we are in a very urgent and sensitive period. Alongside the goal of purchasing a permanent home, we also have immediate running costs that cannot be ignored. We need to maintain the current premises, cover the costs of Warple Way – including rent and necessary salaries – and keep everything running properly so Daar us Sunnah can continue to serve the community without interruption. In the interest of full clarity and transparency, we want the community to know that until the £2 million purchase target is reached, 50% of all donations collected from today (26th March 2026) will be used for maintenance and operational expenses, of the current locations and 50% will go towards the purchase of the new masjid.

This is so that Daar us Sunnah can continue serving the community now, while we keep building towards a permanent solution for the future, bi’idhnillāh.

Every pound given for the sake of Allāh is never lost, and every act of charity is a seed planted for the Hereafter.
