Can Ruqya Be Done Over the Phone?
Shaykh Abd al-Muhsin al-Abbad states that ruqya over the phone is not valid. Ruqya requires blowing onto the person being treated, not just recitation heard through a call. Therefore, remote ruqya is not acceptable.
