Shaykh Muqbil advises Ahl al-Sunnah to avoid attending gatherings or lectures of people of innovation. Doing so weakens their influence and prevents spreading falsehood. He emphasizes that these meetings are based on deception, so avoiding them is a strong form of advising.
Therefore, an important issue related to advising our brothers remains, which is in fact advice directed to all of our brothers of Ahl al-Sunnah. This issue is a sharpened sword used by the people of Sunnah, that they do not attend the lectures of the people of innovation. This shatters their backs.
I had advised some brothers from the Emirates who applied it – praise solely belongs to Allah ﷻ – I advised them to not attend the lectures, sittings or gatherings of the people of innovation, for their gatherings and sittings are upon falsehood and deception.
