Shaykh Ahmad ibn Yahya an-Najmi strongly condemns those who claim that Ibn Lāden is the awaited Mahdī or a Muslim leader. He states that such people are devils and that praising Ibn Lāden indicates one shares his renegade status.
Some people claim that Ibn Lāden is the awaited Mahdī and they call him ‘The Leader of the Muslims’. What do you say concerning this?
These people are devils. These people are devils! Ibn Lāden is a filthy devil and a renegade. It is not permissible for anyone to praise him and whoever praises him, then it is evidence that he is a renege just like him.
