If He Agrees with Their Creed, He Becomes One of Them

Questioner:
If a scholar from Ahl al-Sunnah agrees with Ahl al-Bidʿah in an issue from the issues of ʿaqīdah, is he aligned with them?
Shaykh Ṣāliḥ ibn Fawzān al-Fawzān:
Yes – If he agrees with them on an issue from the issues of ʿaqīdah or from the foundations (ʼuṣūl), he becomes an innovator.
