This article explains the ruling on collaborating with groups that oppose the methodology of the Qurʾān and Sunnah in charitable work or daʿwah. Shaykh Ṣāliḥ ibn Fawzān al-Fawzān clarifies that such cooperation is considered helping one another in sin and injustice.
What is the ruling on working with groups who are in opposition to the methodology of the Qurʾān and Sunnah in charitable acts or daʿwah?
This enters under the statement of Allahﷻ;
۞ وَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ
“..and do not help one another upon sin and injustice.” (Q 4:2).
Working with groups who are deviant and misguided is helping one another upon sin and injustice.
